Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua confirmed for 11 December in Cardiff, live on Netflix

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will fight at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Friday 11 December, live on Netflix. A press conference is set for Tuesday in London.

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will finally meet on Friday 11 December at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, it was confirmed on Thursday. The fight will be shown live on Netflix, The Ring announced.

Dan Rafael, who first reported the date and venue earlier this month, said a press conference will be held in London on Tuesday.

It ends a wait that has run for most of a decade. The two biggest British heavyweights of their generation came close in 2021, when Fury said a fight in Saudi Arabia was "100% on" before an arbitration ruling sent him back to Deontay Wilder. Joshua, 30-4 with 27 knockouts, and Fury, 36-2-1 with 25 knockouts, are both former unified world champions and both past 35.

Manny Pacquiao against Shakur Stevenson was not part of Thursday's announcement. BoxingScene reported this week that the fight remains in talks as a possible second main event on the Cardiff card, with no agreements yet sent to either fighter.

The ring walks will be no later than 2am UK time on Saturday 12 December under the fight contracts, The Telegraph reported. Eddie Hearn had told ESPN on 20 September: "People talk about a 3 a.m. BST fight? I don’t think you’ll see the fight that late." No official running order has been published yet.
