Fury vs Joshua reactions: Joshua "inspiring a generation", Warren predicts KO

Anthony Joshua, Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren and Turki Alalshikh reacted after Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua was confirmed for 11 December in Cardiff. Fury had not posted on X by Thursday afternoon.

Anthony Joshua kept it short when his fight with Tyson Fury was confirmed on Thursday. "I am inspiring a generation 🇬🇧", he posted on X.

Half an hour before the announcement he had posted a longer message: "The quietest ones often pull the strings. Those who appear least involved may hold the greatest control. Let them shout first, the wisest wait until the final move."

His promoter, Eddie Hearn, thanked British fans. "WE DID IT 🥹 🇬🇧 Forever indebted to the U.K. public for their support of @anthonyjoshua we couldn’t have got this over the line without you", he wrote.

Fury's promoter, Frank Warren, went straight to a prediction. "After all these years it’s finally on! And on December 11th the world will witness Tyson knocking out AJ", he posted.

Turki Alalshikh, whose The Ring is promoting the fight, said he had kept his word to British fans. "For 15 years no one has been able to make this fight. Back in April, I said that any announcement would come from me. I can now confirm that Fury Vs Joshua will be coming to the UK, as I promised British boxing fans", he posted.

Dana White, who is also involved in the promotion, pointed to the numbers in the official announcement. "Together, they bring 66 wins, 52 knockouts and multiple heavyweight world titles into the ring", he said. Netflix UK announced it with "Enough talk. Time to fight." The fight will stream live on Netflix at no extra cost to members.

Fury himself had not posted on X by Thursday afternoon. The two fighters are due to face each other at a launch press conference at the British Airways Arc at Olympia, London, next week, starting at 6pm.
