Paddy Pimblett says Movsar Evloev "quit there, for me. Just rolled over" as Alexander Volkanovski stopped him in the UFC 333 main event.

Pimblett was watching the fight in a UFC 333 reaction video on his own YouTube channel, posted on Sunday 25 October. "Some big shots there. Is it over? It's over. Boom. Volk, man, gets the finish," he said, then said of Evloev covering up at the end: "When there's five seconds left, lads, you've just got to keep moving so the fight stays on."

Volkanovski kept the UFC featherweight title at 4:54 of the second round at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday 24 October. He put Evloev on the canvas late in the round and kept landing punches until referee Marc Goddard stepped in with six seconds left. Evloev went into his first title shot unbeaten at 20-0.

Pimblett had picked Volkanovski and Petr Yan, who beat Merab Dvalishvili on a unanimous decision on the same card. "I said Volk and Yan to win, so I'm happy there," he said.

Evloev accepted the defeat on X after the fight, writing that Volkanovski "was the better man today".
