Movsar Evloev says Alexander Volkanovski 'was the better man today' after first career loss
Volkanovski stopped the previously unbeaten challenger at 4:54 of the second round in Abu Dhabi to keep the UFC featherweight title.

Movsar Evloev congratulated Alexander Volkanovski in a post on X hours after the first loss of his professional career, saying the champion "was the better man today".
"Alhamdulillah for everything. Today wasn't my day. Everything is written by Allah, and I accept whatever He has planned for me," Evloev wrote. "Congratulations to Volk. He was the better man today. Thank you to the UFC for giving me the opportunity to fight for the title, and to all my fans."
Volkanovski kept the featherweight title in the UFC 333 main event at the Etihad Arena on Saturday 24 October. Evloev took him down in the first round, but Volkanovski put the challenger on the canvas late in the second and kept landing punches until referee Marc Goddard stepped in at 4:54 of the round.
