Azamat Bekoev has pulled out of his UFC Vegas 123 fight with Andre Petroski after an anaphylactic reaction left him passing out inside a CVS store.

The 20-5 middleweight explained the withdrawal in a post on X on Saturday. "A couple of days ago, I suffered an anaphylactic reaction," he wrote. "Thankfully, I made it to CVS within a few minutes and was able to get medication, but I ended up passing out inside the store, and they had to call an ambulance."

Bekoev apologised to Petroski, the UFC and everyone who had been looking forward to the fight. "I've never pulled out of a fight before, and this is not something I take lightly," he wrote. "This is not how I wanted things to go, but my health has to come first." He added that he will focus on recovering and will "be back soon".

Petroski (13-6) will not take a replacement opponent on 31 October. Bloody Elbow reported that he has instead been added to UFC Vegas 124 on 7 November, where he faces Mantas Kondratavicius (9-1) on the card headlined by Gabriel Bonfim against Sean Brady.

UFC Vegas 123 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas is still headlined by Renato Moicano against Tom Nolan (UK start time and how to watch).
