Frank Martin stops Tarik Zaina in round seven to win vacant NABO title in San Antonio
Martin dropped Zaina with a left hand and finished him on the undercard of Navarrete vs Foster, his first win since a February draw with Nahir Albright.

Frank Martin stopped Tarik Zaina in the seventh round at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio on Saturday night, winning the vacant NABO super lightweight title on the undercard of Emanuel Navarrete vs O'Shaquie Foster.
The taller Zaina used his reach to keep the early rounds competitive and landed solid power punches in the third. In the seventh, Martin stepped back and dropped him with a left hand. Zaina beat the count, but Martin went straight after him with follow-up punches and the referee stopped the fight.
It was the first stoppage defeat of Zaina's career. He came in at 18-3-1 and leaves at 18-4-1, while Martin moves to 20-1-1 with 14 knockouts.
The Detroit fighter's only defeat came against Gervonta Davis in June 2024, after which he moved up to 140lb. He stopped former world champion Rances Barthelemy in four rounds in December 2025, then fought Nahir Albright to a draw in February, and this was his first win since. Martin signed a multi-year promotional deal with Top Rank in July and is trained by Buddy McGirt.
Both men weighed 139.5lb for the 10-round contest, which was shown live on DAZN.
