Vasiliy Lomachenko says he is back at 130 and explains why he walked away from Tank Davis
Lomachenko said he was tired from boxing and that 135lb was not his natural weight when he quit instead of facing Gervonta Davis.

Vasiliy Lomachenko says he is returning to boxing at 130lb, and has explained why he walked away from a fight with Gervonta "Tank" Davis: he was tired of the sport and 135lb was not his natural weight.
Asked in a ringside interview why he quit after beating George Kambosos in May 2024, when, the interviewer said, he had been lined up to face Davis later that year, Lomachenko said: "Because, you know, I'm tired from boxing, and this weight class is 135, it's not my natural weight."
"And now I am back," he said, adding that he is returning at 130, "in my natural weight class".
That puts him in the division of Anthony Cacace, the WBA super-featherweight champion, who defends the belt against Nick Ball at The O2 Belfast on 19 December. ESPN's Brian Custer has reported that Lomachenko is keen on a fight with Cacace, who has said he wants to focus fully on Ball.
