Ilia Topuria livestreams his reaction to Merab Dvalishvili's UFC 333 loss to Petr Yan
Topuria had Dvalishvili winning on his livestream and turned his back to the TV as the verdict for Yan was read out.
Ilia Topuria told Merab Dvalishvili "we're proud of you anyways" on his livestream after his friend lost to Petr Yan in the UFC 333 co-main event in Abu Dhabi.
Topuria watched the bantamweight title fight on a TV with a group of people and, speaking in Spanish, asked his viewers who had won. "Who watched the fight? 48-47, Yan? No," he said. "What are you saying? Who won? Merab won, yes."
He turned his back to the TV while the verdict was read out, and the room groaned when all three judges' 48-47 scores went to Yan. "Merab, look, we're proud of you anyways," Topuria then said to the camera.
The unanimous decision is Dvalishvili's second loss in a row to Yan, who took the title from him at UFC 323 in December 2025. Dana White said after the event that Yan's next opponent is between Song Yadong and Sean O'Malley.
