Ryan Garcia tells Floyd Mayweather "Offer is on the table" after report of talks
Garcia said he "wouldn't do an exhibition" after FightHype reported, citing sources, that talks are underway for a fight between the two. Neither camp has confirmed any talks.
Ryan Garcia has challenged Floyd Mayweather to put his unbeaten record on the line, hours after FightHype's report of talks between the two. No talks have been confirmed by either side.
"Okay Floyd let's see how much you love that '0'," Garcia posted on X, pointing at Mayweather's unbeaten record.
Seventeen minutes later he went further: "And no I wouldn't do an exhibition I want his 0 on the f***ing line. How much does he actually think he got left. I'm ready Floyd, remember you made this call. I'm just returning the favor. Offer is on the table. Accept or not, if not I move foward as I have been."
Mayweather is undefeated at 50-0 and retired from professional boxing in August 2017, after which he moved into exhibition boxing.
Garcia stopped Conor Benn in two rounds in Las Vegas on 12 September: Benn likely to return after Garcia knockout. He has since called out Teofimo Lopez for December.
