Mike Malott knocks out Joaquin Buckley with knee in UFC Edmonton main event
The second-round finish was Malott's fifth straight win as he pursues his bid to become the UFC's first Canadian champion since Georges St-Pierre.

Mike Malott stopped Joaquin Buckley with a knee in the second round of the UFC Edmonton main event.
The win extends Malott's run to five straight victories and strengthens his case for a title shot. It follows his win over one-time title challenger Gilbert Burns in April. Malott is aiming to become the UFC's first Canadian champion since Georges St-Pierre, and he headlined in Edmonton with that pressure on him.
Fellow fighters reacted with amazement to the knockout, among them Burns, Tatiana Suarez, Arnold Allen and the former UFC title challenger turned analyst Kenny Florian.
