Mike Malott knocked out Joaquin Buckley at 2:32 of the second round to win the UFC Edmonton welterweight main event in front of a home Canadian crowd.

Both men made weight at 170.5lbs on Friday. At the ceremonial weigh-ins Buckley walked past Dana White's outstretched hand and squared up to Malott, who had the Canadian flag over his shoulders.

Asked about the snub at the post-fight press conference, White said: "As soon as he lost, I told Hunter, cut him." He then added: "I'm f***ing joking. I have no problem with Joaquin Buckley." Marc-Andre Barriault stopped Kyle Daukaus with elbows at 4:28 of the first round, and Cristian Perez needed 27 seconds to knock out Kyle Nelson.
