Eddie Hearn has mocked Zuffa Boxing after Shakur Stevenson left the promotion without having a single fight for it, claiming the company has made boxing history for the wrong reasons.

In a video he filmed himself, Hearn said: "How can you sign your most high profile fighter and then he leaves you without even fighting?" He added: "I don't think in the history of boxing that has ever happened."

Hearn turned Dana White's words back on him. He said White had talked about the history Zuffa would make and the body of work fans would see by the end of the year, then added: "One thing I will give it to Zuffa, they have made history there by actually signing a fighter and never giving him a fight."

The Matchroom promoter was just as cutting about Zuffa's cards in England. He said: "Those shows that they're putting on in England can only be described as 10% or I'll give them 20% of the quality of the previous promoter on Sky."

Stevenson's signing with Zuffa was announced in July, but he never had a fight confirmed. He has since left the promotion and says he will start his own promotional company.
