Dustin Poirier has admitted helping a teammate cheat the scales at a weigh-in.
Telling the story on the UFC's Deep Waters show, Poirier said the friend was over the limit for a fight in Mississippi and had stripped for the weigh-in, with a towel held up in front of him. "One time one of my buddies was fighting in Mississippi and they had the towel out, he was naked, he was over. I was behind the towel with him. Everybody was in front," Poirier said. "I grabbed a handful of hairy man *ss cheek and I lifted him up a little bit. Got him on weight."
He did not name the teammate or say when it happened.
Poirier, 30-10, retired after losing to Max Holloway last year, but has said he misses fighting and has not ruled out a return. He was also on the panel when Jorge Masvidal criticised referee Herb Dean.
