Renato Moicano will not appeal his UFC Vegas 123 defeat to Tom Nolan, and he will not ask for referee Dan Miragliotta to be kept off his fights, he told MMA Fighting.

Speaking for the first time about the round-two stand-up, which came with Moicano on Nolan's back, the Brazilian said he would not take the matter to the Nevada Athletic Commission. "I'm not going to blame the referee ... I'm not going to file any complaint," Moicano said.

He called it "the wrong decision" and said he had never seen anyone stood up from mount or the back before. "It was the wrong decision, but it's not going to change anything. I lost, that's it," he said.

Moicano had no kind words for Miragliotta, though. "I want him to go f*** himself, him and everyone else," he said. "I don't give a s***."

He also pointed the finger at himself. "The next person I need to blame is myself," he said. "I should have finished that guy." He also said: "I clearly lost my focus."

Nolan stopped Moicano at 1:28 of round three, and a string of fighters criticised the stand-up afterwards. UFC analyst Din Thomas said on the post-fight show that an appeal from Moicano would come as no surprise.

Moicano has no date for his return to the octagon. He is promoting Money Moicano MMA 2 on December 5 in Sao Paulo, and has twin sons due later this year.
