Michael Chandler to be special guest enforcer for unsanctioned match on WWE NXT
NXT general manager Robert Stone took up the 40-year-old's offer, in what will be his first involvement in a WWE match.
Michael Chandler will oversee Dion Lennox v Cruz Montana as special guest enforcer on the 4 November episode of WWE's NXT.
Chandler made the offer in a video on his Instagram. "So, if you need somebody to keep a little order inside the chaos, you need somebody who is well-versed in the language of chaos and if you need somebody, you just let me know, because I know a guy," he said.
NXT general manager Robert Stone confirmed in a video of his own that he would take the offer up. Chandler replied on X: "It's set in stone!!!! Not a better man for the job...no one is more unsanctioned than me."
Chandler called out Conor McGregor on the microphone on an episode of Raw in 2024, and said last year that he had held contract talks with WWE.
The NXT episode goes head-to-head with AEW's annual Blood & Guts event and will also feature John Cena and Cody Rhodes.
Chandler is 2-6 in the UFC since signing six years ago and has lost his last four fights. Mauricio Ruffy beat him at UFC Freedom 250 in June, and he did not suggest he would retire after that defeat. Liverpool's Paddy Pimblett stopped him in the third round at UFC 314 in April 2025. Bobby Green, who now fights as King Green, has named Chandler as the opponent he wants next.
