A man has been jailed for six and a half years for setting fire to the Black Forge Inn, the Dublin pub owned by Conor McGregor, and attacking two gardaí with a knife four days later, the Irish Star reported.
Abdullah Khan, 24, was sentenced at the three-judge Special Criminal Court, where Ms Justice Karen O'Connor presided. He pleaded guilty to all eight offences, and the sentences will run concurrently.
The charges said that on July 25, 2025, Khan poured petrol on the front door of the pub on Drimnagh Road and lit it with a match. On the charge of engaging in terrorist activity by setting the fire, he received seven years and six months with the final year suspended for four years.
On July 29, 2025, on Capel Street, he assaulted Garda Gary Lynch, causing him harm, and attempted to assault Garda Patrick Nevin. He also produced a knife during the incident and admitted two counts of endangerment.
Khan must engage with the probation service for four years after his release.
McGregor, the former two-division UFC champion, is recovering from ACL surgery and has targeted International Fight Week 2027 for his comeback.
