Sitthichai Sor Dechapan knocked out Arthur Evan with a head kick at 2:56 of the second round in the flyweight Muay Thai co-main event of ONE Friday Fights 176 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on Friday 30 October.
The referee caught Evan's head before it reached the canvas and stopped the fight. The 17-year-old Frenchman was making his first appearance for the promotion.
Sitthichai, 22, worked from long range in the first round with teeps and jabs. Evan closed the distance with crosses and elbows, but the Thai's jab opened a cut above his eye. Sitthichai also landed a spinning elbow after ducking under an attack.
Evan switched to southpaw in the second round. Sitthichai kicked his lead leg whenever he changed stance and landed a jumping knee to the body.
Evan then tried to slow the pace in the clinch. Sitthichai drove him backwards and landed knees and punches to the ribs, and Evan stayed on his feet until the head kick in the closing seconds of the round.
