Khunsuk T1 Fight Academy stopped YodUdon K Tongtalingchan with a body shot one second before the end of round two to win the ONE Friday Fights 176 main event on Friday, 30 October.
It was Khunsuk's seventh stoppage in the weekly series and his third win in four fights. The 22-year-old is now 59-18, and the result moves him closer to the US$100,000 ONE main roster contract on offer.
The all-Thai atomweight Muay Thai contest took place at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. The opening round was mostly kicks to the head and body from both men. Khunsuk landed a clean right hook, and YodUdon replied with his jab and several one-twos before Khunsuk answered with a cross and a head kick.
Khunsuk turned to the body in the second round. He kicked at the 28-year-old's midsection off his back leg and landed knees as YodUdon threw punches at his guard. Straight punches to the floating rib then put YodUdon down.
With the final clapper sounding, YodUdon backed away towards the bell. Khunsuk kept throwing to the ribs, and a final body shot dropped YodUdon to the canvas in pain. The referee waved the fight off at 2:59 of round two.
