Chris Hemsworth gets surprise visit from Rodtang on Extraction 3 set in Thailand
The Muay Thai star gave the Thor actor personalised gloves weeks before he faces Nong-O Hama in a ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix quarter-final at Lumpinee Stadium on 13 November.
Former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon visited Chris Hemsworth on the set of Extraction 3 in Ratchaburi, western Thailand, this week and gave the Australian actor a pair of personalised gloves.
The visit came during the final stages of Rodtang's training camp for his meeting with former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama at The Inner Circle 38. The bout, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on Friday 13 November, is a quarter-final of the 2026-2027 ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix.
Hemsworth wrote on Instagram: “Honoured to have Muay Thai legend @rodtang_jimungnon visit us on the Extraction 3 set today ! All class, absolute champion 🙏👊 thanks for the personalised gloves, straight to the trophy room!” Rodtang posted a video of the meeting, in which the pair embraced. He copied Thor's thunder grab, and Hemsworth answered with Rodtang's trademark head shake. Rodtang wrote: “Thank you for the opportunity to meet you, my brother. I will always love and respect you. ❤️☝🏻” Rodtang has long been a fan of Hemsworth's films, while the actor follows combat sports and has supported Rodtang's ONE Championship career. Once filming on Extraction 3 is complete, Hemsworth is due to play Thor again in Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for release in December.
A win over Nong-O would put Rodtang into the Grand Prix semi-finals. The eight-man bracket also includes reigning champion Asadula Imangazaliev against Aslamjon Ortikov, Black Panther against Ubaid Hussain, and Shimon Yoshinari against Ramadan Ondash. The tournament winner takes the silver Grand Prix belt and a chance to become undisputed ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion.
