Kyoma Akimoto vows KO in unbeaten Razhabali Shaidulloev's final RIZIN fight on New Year's Eve

The PFL and RIZIN featherweight champion defends his RIZIN title in Nagoya before joining MVP MMA in 2027, with Luiz Gustavo v Mikuru Asakura as the co-main event.

Razhabali Shaidulloev will have his last RIZIN fight on December 31, putting his featherweight title on the line against Kyoma Akimoto at Super RIZIN 6 at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya in Japan. MMA Fighting reported that it is his final appearance for the promotion before he joins MVP MMA in 2027.

Akimoto wrote on Instagram after the announcement that he would give everything and get the KO. The 13-1 challenger stopped Patchy Mix in the second round at RIZIN 52 in March, finishing him with punches and soccer kicks, and also beat Kleber Koike this year.

Shaidulloev has never lost and holds both the PFL and RIZIN featherweight belts. His most recent title defence, against AJ McKee in September, was the only decision of his career. The title fight is scheduled for three five-minute rounds at 66kg.

Lightweight champion Luiz Gustavo meets local star Mikuru Asakura in a rematch in the co-main event, and it is undecided whether the 155-pound title will be on the line. Saori Oshima defends her super atomweight belt against Natasha Kuziutina, and Tsuyoshi Sudario faces Edopolo King in the heavyweight grand prix final.

RIZIN has announced 10 matches for its final card of 2026. Chihiro Suzuki fights YA-MAN, Yutaro Muramoto meets Erson Yamamoto, Hiroya faces Jo Hiramoto, Hinotori takes on Tatsuki Shinotsuka and Taichi Tomizawa fights Don't Mind Kawabata. Christian Akira Matsuo and Sora Kaneko meet in the KOSHIEN 2026 final.

The show is scheduled to start at 1pm in Japan, which is 4am on December 31 in the UK.
