Tyson Fury has enlisted Joe Joyce, Jarrell Miller and Russia's Aleksei Dronov as sparring partners for his heavyweight fight with Anthony Joshua.
The two Britons meet at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on 11 December, after nearly a decade of calls for the fight to be made. The bout will stream live on Netflix.
Fury, 38, shared an AI image of the three sparring partners alongside himself and coach Sugarhill Steward, all of them in Viking gear. He wrote on Thursday: “Clan war lords instead of spartans, we coming dec 11.” A day earlier, Fury wrote that he had sparred 10 good rounds with two partners. He described camp as his happy place and said he was as happy as ever at 38.
Joyce, an Olympic silver medallist, stopped Daniel Dubois in 2020 to hand him the first defeat of his career, then stopped Joseph Parker two years later. Back-to-back knockout defeats by Zhilei Zhang followed, before a points loss to Derek Chisora.
Miller has history with Joshua. He was due to face him in Joshua's US debut in 2019 but was pulled from the fight after failing a drug test, and Joshua went on to be knocked out by Andy Ruiz Jr. Miller failed another test in 2020, was stopped late by Dubois in 2023 and drew with Ruiz the following year.
Dronov, 24, is the least known of the three. He won gold at the youth Olympics and the amateur youth world championships, and is 12-0 as a professional with 10 knockouts.
