Carl Frampton gives verdict on Anthony Joshua's Ben Davison reunion for Fury fight
Frampton said recent criticism of Davison was a little unfair, with Joshua and Tyson Fury set to meet for the WBA title at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff in December.

Carl Frampton believes Anthony Joshua could take a small mental edge into his December fight with Tyson Fury because his trainer, Ben Davison, used to coach Fury.
The all-British heavyweight showdown will take place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, with the WBA belt on the line. Fury will again have Sugar Hill in his corner.
Frampton told The Fight Wire that the situation was a strange one. He said some people had recently criticised Davison over certain performances, which he considered a little unfair. He described Davison as a really good coach and pointed to the mental side: Davison has trained Fury, and Joshua knows the coach well too.
Davison helped Fury return to the ring after a long absence, during which Fury dealt with mental health and addiction problems following his first world title win over Wladimir Klitschko. Davison got Fury back into shape and guided him through two comeback wins, then helped him to a draw with Deontay Wilder, the big-punching American who held the WBC title. Fury and Davison parted ways after that fight.
Joshua later teamed up with Davison and beat Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou under his guidance. The pair split after Daniel Dubois knocked Joshua out in 2024. Joshua then spent time working with Oleksandr Usyk and his team before returning to Davison.
