Dave Allen says an 18-year-old Daniel Dubois 'absolutely punched my head in' in sparring
Allen said Rob McCracken asked him to look after the teenager. He singled out Dubois's jab: "heavy, but like I say, it's fast".

Dave Allen has recalled the first time he sparred Daniel Dubois, when Dubois was 18.
"It was a bad experience for me," Allen said on talkSPORT. "The first time I sparred him, I did four with Joe Joyce... and Rob McCracken said, we've got an 18-year-old kid in here. Will you look after him? See, of course I will, Rob. He had a bar going, absolutely punched my head in. It was horrible."
He added: "His jab is heavy, but like I say, it's fast. And he gets you going backwards."
