Lawrence Okolie targets ring return after WBC resolves his case
The WBC accepted evidence that a prohibited substance entered his system through a third party, without his knowledge or consent.

Lawrence Okolie hopes to return to the ring after the WBC resolved the case over the adverse analytical finding he returned before his scheduled April fight with Tony Yoka.
The WBC said Okolie "provided extenuating evidence supporting his position that the prohibited substance entered his system as a result of the actions of a third party, without his knowledge or consent." It took that into account along with his unblemished testing history and his cooperation in reaching the agreed resolution.
Under the resolution, Okolie stays available for further testing and will work with the WBC on education. He had maintained his innocence throughout.
"Clean sport has always been extremely important to me," Okolie said. "I look forward to the next chapter of my career and to being actively involved in the sport in the months ahead."
The 33-year-old British heavyweight was the WBC's No 1 ranked contender and in line for a title shot before the case.
