IBF champion Filip Hrgovic calls Wardley's win over Parker 'a big robbery'

The Croatian, who beat Moses Itauma for the title in London, also called Agit Kabayel "a funny champion" and says he will not retire until he gets revenge on Daniel Dubois.

Filip Hrgovic, the IBF heavyweight champion, thinks Fabio Wardley should never have been in a world title fight with Daniel Dubois.

"Dubois got his title against Wardley and Wardley got his title against Parker, and it was a big robbery in my opinion," Hrgovic said. "He didn't win that fight. It was premature stoppage. He was losing the rounds, and the referee did a terrible job in that fight and it was a gift for him."

Fabio Wardley stopped Joseph Parker in the 11th round in October 2025, when referee Howard Foster waved the fight off with Parker against the ropes. Daniel Dubois then stopped Wardley in the 11th round in Manchester in May to win the WBO title. The pair meet again at the O2 in London on 17 October.

Hrgovic was no kinder about Agit Kabayel, saying he "received his title without fighting, so he's a funny champion as well". He also said he will not retire until he gets revenge on Dubois.

Hrgovic won the vacant IBF title by stopping Moses Itauma in the ninth round at the O2 in August, and had a message for British fans: "Sorry for beating all yours guys, but you know it's just the way it is, you know, it's my job."
