Terence Crawford calls out Floyd Mayweather: 'GOAT vs GOAT' fight 'would crash everything'
Crawford, who has retired, says "they want me to come back" and calls himself "the ticket". Mayweather has a fight with Matt Floyd announced for 19 December.

Terence Crawford has called out Floyd Mayweather, telling him that a "GOAT vs GOAT" fight between them "would crash everything".
"There's a reason they want me to come back. They had yall fooled thinking I couldn't sell and wasn't marketable," Crawford wrote on X on Wednesday, adding three laughing emojis. He went on: "now look I'm the ticket. F*** it Floyd me and you would crash everything. GOAT vs GOAT F*** it." He did not say who wants him back, and the post mentions no talks with Mayweather.
It was Crawford's second burst of call-outs on Wednesday. Hours earlier he said he would stop Gervonta "Tank" Davis at 135lb, then wrote: "What's up @RyanGarcia 160?"
Garcia is also the man in Mayweather's plans. Mayweather has announced a fight with Matt Floyd in Bangkok on 19 December, expected to be an exhibition, and wrote: "This is a lil tune-up before me and Ryan Garcia lock up." Garcia has given Mayweather a "final warning", saying he will fight on 6 February whether or not a deal is done.
Mayweather retired in 2017 after beating Conor McGregor and has fought on the exhibition circuit ever since. Crawford beat Canelo Alvarez by unanimous decision in September 2025 and has since retired. Alvarez's trainer, Eddy Reynoso, says he would like Crawford to be Alvarez's next opponent.
