Kalle Sauerland says Misfits offered $10m for Hearn v Dana White: 'Dana's had it in writing'

Sauerland told iFL TV talks with Hearn are at "an advanced stage", while White is reported to have rolled his eyes when asked about it.

Misfits Boxing's Kalle Sauerland says Eddie Hearn and Dana White have both had a written offer to box each other, and that talks with the Matchroom promoter are at "an advanced stage".

"We're very close with Eddie and Dana's had it in writing," Sauerland told iFL TV.

He said people asked whether the offer was serious and that he told them he would pay $20 million for the fight. That began as a winner-takes-all deal, but he has since changed the terms. "It's just a $10 million straight offer now," he said.

Sauerland called that "an opening offer" and said he would not raise it until he hears back with interest. He admitted it is not fully tied up with Hearn, but said of the terms: "With Eddie we're not far off, I think he'd confirm that if you ask him." He added: "I'm always the optimist."

White has said he would fight Hearn in the ring if it came to it, but Bloody Elbow reported that he rolled his eyes when asked about the offer and said the Misfits promoter was just looking for a reaction.

Sauerland also joked about staging Hearn v White at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium the night after Fury v Joshua, which is scheduled for 11 December at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Hearn wants a public debate with White at that fight's press conference, over White's role in the event.
