Derek Chisora says BBBoC is resisting his comeback, but Robert Smith has had no correspondence
Chisora, 42, wants to fight WBA champion Murat Gassiev in London or Manchester in December. If he returns and his licence is still valid, he will have to pass the board's standard medical tests.

Derek Chisora says he is "having an argument" with the British Boxing Board of Control over his plan to box again in December, but the BBBoC's Robert Smith has told BoxingScene he has "not received any correspondence" about a comeback.
"I'll stop when I'm ready," Chisora told talkSPORT on Thursday. "I'm having an argument with the British Boxing Board of Control right now. They are saying, 'Oh, that is enough'. I hear them; I get it."
Smith said he had not spoken to the 42-year-old since they bumped into each other at an event at the Copper Box Arena in London in the summer. He confirmed that if the comeback became official, and provided Chisora's BBBoC licence was still valid, Chisora would have to pass standard medical tests.
Chisora confirmed his plans at an IBA press conference in Istanbul last week, naming WBA heavyweight champion Murat Gassiev as his opponent. "December will be me versus Gassiev. We're going to decide where, either in London or Manchester," he said. "We're going to put two belts on the line, I believe, the IBA and the one Gassiev holds. The WBA Regular. Why not? Let's have fun with it."
IBA president Umar Kremlev, who was at the press conference, said: "And we promised him a bout. So we are going to organize a bout for Derek in England."
Gassiev has played down the fight but has not ruled it out. The WBA elevated him to full champion in June, when Oleksandr Usyk vacated his titles, but Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will fight for the organisation's 'super' title in Cardiff on 11 December: Fury vs Joshua will be for the WBA super title. Gassiev hopes to face the winner. "I'm a fighter. I'm not manager, I'm not promoter. I just want to fight and do my job. I'm just waiting for what happens next," he told Sky Sports.
He told ESPN he had no clear information on which WBA belt he now holds: "I check my email. I don't have any messages, any papers, but I'm not manager, promoter [or] lawyer. I'm fighter. I do my job, that's it." His co-promoter has asked the WBA to clarify its rules: Gassiev's team seeks WBA clarification. Deontay Wilder's team have also had talks about a fight with Gassiev, though Wilder has accepted an offer to face Jai Opetaia on the Fury-Joshua undercard: Wilder accepts Opetaia offer.
Chisora, 36-14 (23 KOs), lost a split decision to Wilder at The O2 in London on 4 April, in what was billed as his 50th and final fight. He did not officially announce his retirement. "I never said I was retired. They said '50 last dance'," he said, before comparing his career to film sequels such as Rush Hour 2. "So this is the Last Dance 3. Listen, trust me, I'm a seller, I sell. That's my job."
He accepts the Gassiev fight may not happen. "If it doesn't happen, then it doesn't matter," he said. "But right now, it is going to happen."
