On this day in 2014: Eubank Jr stops Omar Siala in two rounds in Liverpool
The German was halted 1:50 into the second round of a scheduled eight-round contest, a technical knockout win for Chris Eubank Jr.

Chris Eubank Jr needed less than two rounds to beat Omar Siala at the Liverpool Arena 12 years ago today, on 25 October 2014. The scheduled eight-round contest was stopped 1:50 into the second round, giving Eubank Jr a technical knockout win over the German.
The result came the year before Eubank Jr won his first major belt. In 2015 he took the World Boxing Association (WBA) interim middleweight title, the first of two spells with that championship between 2015 and 2021. In 2016 he added the British middleweight title.
He went on to hold the International Boxing Organization (IBO) super-middleweight title twice between 2017 and 2019, and later held the IBO middleweight title from 2024 to 2025.
Born on 18 September 1989, Eubank Jr was 25 on the night in Liverpool. He is the son of Chris Eubank, a former two-division world champion, and the win over Siala sat early in a career that would bring titles at both middleweight and super-middleweight.
