Natalia Silva beats Wang Cong on a unanimous decision to become UFC women's flyweight champion
The Brazilian won the title Valentina Shevchenko vacated over five rounds in Salt Lake City, extending her winning run to 15.

Natalia Silva is the new UFC women's flyweight champion after beating Wang Cong on a unanimous decision in the UFC 332 main event in Salt Lake City.
The five-round fight for the belt Valentina Shevchenko vacated through injury went the full 25 minutes under referee Marc Goddard, one of only three fights on the card to go the distance on a night that set the UFC record for knockouts.
Silva, 29 and the No 1 contender, moves to 21-5-1 and 9-0 in the UFC. She has now won 15 fights in a row, and has not lost since a decision against Marina Rodriguez in December 2017. Her UFC wins also include Jessica Andrade, Alexa Grasso and Rose Namajunas.
Wang, 34, suffered the second defeat of her career and her first since November 2024, ending a run of four straight wins. She had worn her trademark Joker make-up at Friday's weigh-ins, where the pair's face-off turned physical.
