Charles Oliveira will defend the BMF title against Diego Lopes in the main event of UFC 335 in Las Vegas on 12 December, the UFC has announced.

"Two of the baddest," the UFC wrote, confirming the lightweight fight "with the BMF title on the line".

Oliveira won the belt by beating Max Holloway on points over five rounds in March. Lopes moves up from featherweight, where he lost a five-round decision to Alexander Volkanovski in February before stopping Steve Garcia in the second round in June.

The booking comes after Oliveira's camp played down talk of a Lopes fight last month, when Oliveira said he had nothing booked.

Alex Pereira vs Sergei Pavlovich, Pereira's second heavyweight fight, is the co-main event at T-Mobile Arena. The main card will be in the early hours of Sunday 13 December in the UK and Ireland.
