Brendan Allen rejects Dricus du Plessis coach's claim that UFC turned down their fight
Allen said the pair were meant to fight at the start of the year before Du Plessis moved on to Kamaru Usman, and insisted: "I want to fight."

Brendan Allen has rejected a claim from Dricus du Plessis' coach that Du Plessis twice said yes to fighting him and the UFC said no.
Asked about it by MMA Fighting, Allen said: "Oh, yeah. I'm sure that's how it happened. It's definitely not how it happened. They lying like a mofo."
Allen said the two had been due to meet earlier this year. "I know we were supposed to fight at the beginning of this year. And then they obviously transitioned into Kamaru," he said. Du Plessis went on to beat Kamaru Usman in July.
"Now I want the harder fight. He took the easier fight with the bigger name," Allen said. "Bro, you either want to fight me or you don't. I want to fight."
Du Plessis' head coach, Morne Visser, has said that Du Plessis turned down a UFC light heavyweight tournament because the team wants the middleweight belt back first, with a return expected in February or March.
Allen submitted Christian Leroy Duncan in the fifth round of the UFC Vegas 122 main event on 10 October, and said afterwards that he had been waiting to sign a contract to fight Du Plessis.
