Adrian Yanez out of UFC 334 injured, Alatengheili steps in on short notice against Juan Diaz
Juan Diaz takes a nine-fight win streak into Madison Square Garden on November 14, where he now meets a 34-year-old veteran making his 11th UFC appearance.

Adrian Yanez has been forced out of UFC 334 with an injury, and veteran bantamweight Alatengheili is stepping in on short notice to face Juan Diaz at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 14, MMA Fighting reported.
Diaz, 27, from Peru, is 16-1-1 and on a nine-fight win streak. He earned his UFC contract with a spinning back elbow knockout on the Contender Series in October 2025, then made his UFC debut at UFC Vegas 116 in May with a stoppage win over Malcolm Wellmaker that earned a Performance of the Night bonus.
Alatengheili, 34, known as "The Mongolian Knight", is 18-10-2 and makes his 11th UFC appearance. He made his octagon debut in August 2019 and comes into the fight off a split decision win over John Castaneda at UFC Vegas 121 in September, having alternated wins and losses over his last five fights.
UFC 334 is headlined by the heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit, with Kayla Harrison defending her women's bantamweight title for the first time against the returning Amanda Nunes in the co-main event. Yanez's spot against Diaz is listed on the early prelims, which start at 10pm UK time on Saturday, November 14 on UFC Fight Pass. The prelims follow at midnight, also on UFC Fight Pass, with the main card on TNT Sports from 2am on Sunday, November 15.
