Alex Pereira's coach screams 'back of the head' at Herb Dean in new UFC White House footage
Pereira, who has criticised the referee ever since losing to Ciryl Gane in June, faces Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335 in December.
Alex Pereira's head coach, Plinio Cruz, can be seen and heard screaming "back of the head" at referee Herb Dean in new corner footage the UFC has released from Ciryl Gane's second-round stoppage of Pereira at UFC White House.
Pereira's camp has said Gane landed shots to the back of his head before the finish, and the Brazilian has been vocal in criticising Dean ever since. Pereira has said he sometimes feels bad about the boos Dean now hears from UFC crowds, but that he would still keep the veteran referee away from his fights if the choice were his.
Gane won the interim heavyweight title that night and became undisputed champion when Britain's Tom Aspinall vacated the belt. He makes his first defence against Josh Hokit in the main event of UFC 334 at Madison Square Garden on 14 November. Pereira faces Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event of UFC 335 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on 12 December.
