Buenos Aires Gauchos fighters named for GFL's first event at Club Atlético Lanús
Former UFC title contender Marlon Moraes, recently added to the Miami Monsters roster, will not compete on the 18 December card in Argentina, sources with knowledge of the event told MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz.

The Global Fight League has started naming the fighters who will represent its Buenos Aires Gauchos team at its first event, on 18 December at Club Atlético Lanús in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Gauchos will face fighters from the Miami Monsters.
The card will be the league's first show. The GFL made bold promises on athlete pay in 2025 and signed a string of MMA stars and veterans, including former UFC champions Tyron Woodley, Chris Weidman, Luke Rockhold, Anthony Pettis and Holly Holm. Its first two events, scheduled for 24 and 25 May 2025, were cancelled, and the league has not held an event since.
Marlon Moraes, the former UFC title contender, was recently added to the Miami roster. However, he will not fight on the 18 December card, sources with knowledge of the event told MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz.
More signings are expected, including the full Monsters roster. The league has not yet explained exactly how its team-against-team format will work, although it has released a scoring system for future events.
