Jake Paul next fight: team in talks with four opponents after Anthony Joshua loss
Promoter Nakisa Bidarian said Paul is targeting a comeback in late 2026 or early 2027, with the opponent deciding the venue and broadcaster. Paul has been cleared to box after breaking his jaw against Anthony Joshua.

Jake Paul's team is negotiating with four possible opponents for his first fight since Anthony Joshua knocked him out last December, Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian has said.
Bidarian wrote: “We are actively negotiating with 4 potential opponents for Jake’s return to boxing in late 2026/ early 2027.” He added that the choice of opponent would decide where the fight takes place and which broadcaster carries it.

The four names have not been disclosed. Tommy Fury is a possibility for British fans, given his long-running rivalry with Paul and their recent public exchanges. Bidarian has reportedly seen Fury as one of the more realistic options, but Paul has suggested he is no longer interested in a rematch.
Paul has floated Canelo Alvarez, Francis Ngannou and Conor McGregor as possible opponents. Darren Till has said he is interested in fighting him, and Edgar Berlanga has repeatedly pushed for the fight. None of them has been confirmed as Paul's next opponent.
Paul aimed a post at fighters who talk about facing him but, he said, do not commit to a deal. He wrote: “So much yipping and yapping and lots of capping. Let’s see who actually signs the contract. Fighters talk talk talk, but don’t actually have the jaw to do it.”

The 29-year-old broke his jaw in the heavyweight fight with Joshua, which raised doubts about whether he would box again. He has since been cleared to fight.
The weight for his return is also undecided. Paul had suggested he would not fight at heavyweight again, and he is generally seen as more natural below the heavyweight limit. A lucrative fight against a major name could change his mind.
