Joe Cordina has accepted terms to fight Manny Pacquiao in Cardiff, with promoter Eddie Hearn telling The Ring that the Welshman has agreed his side of the deal. Whether the fight will actually be made remains uncertain.

The proposed bout would be on the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua card in Cardiff on 11 December. Hearn put Cordina forward as an option for Pacquiao because Cordina is from the city. The Filipino has also been rumoured to face Shakur Stevenson or Amir Khan on the same bill.

Pacquiao, an eight-weight world champion, has not fought since July 2025, when he drew with Mario Barrios in a WBC welterweight title fight. A rematch with Floyd Mayweather, who beat him by unanimous decision in May 2015, was announced for Netflix in September but never took place.

Cordina has won the IBF super-featherweight title twice. He lost it in May 2024, when Anthony Cacace stopped him in the eighth round, and has won two fights since, most recently against Gabriel Flores in December.

Cordina also has another possible fight. He has been linked with WBO lightweight champion Abdullah Mason, whom he was originally due to meet earlier this year.
