Patricio 'Pitbull' Freire calls out Lerone Murphy: 'I'm the one that makes sense now'
The former Bellator two-division champion is 2-2 in the UFC, while Murphy has not fought since his majority-decision loss to Movsar Evloev.

Patricio 'Pitbull' Freire has called out Manchester's Lerone Murphy, the No. 3 UFC featherweight, arguing that much of the division's top 15 is booked, injured, coming off a loss or has moved up a weight.
"Of the top 15, Evloev just lost; Lopes, Costa, and Ortega moved up, Sterling is fighting Vallejos, Jean is waiting for the title shot," Freire wrote in a post on X after UFC 333. "Yair and Allen are injured, Zalal, Garcia and Onama are coming off losses, and you beat Pico. I'm the one that makes sense now. Let's get it done."
Alexander Volkanovski kept the featherweight title by stopping Movsar Evloev at UFC 333 on Saturday, ending Evloev's unbeaten run.
Murphy has not fought since he lost a majority decision to Evloev earlier this year, the first defeat after 18 unbeaten fights. Before that he beat Aaron Pico and Josh Emmett. Pico called for a rematch with Murphy after stopping Losene Keita at UFC 333.
Freire is 2-2 since moving to the UFC last year. He knocked out Doo Ho Choi at UFC 331, and his two defeats came against Pico and former interim champion Yair Rodriguez.
