Cris Cyborg says Claressa Shields quit MMA because it was too hard
Cyborg said Shields has had eight boxing fights since going back to boxing, the same number Cyborg has had while MMA world champion.

Cris Cyborg has said Claressa Shields walked away from MMA because she found it too hard.
"Claressa quit MMA because it was too hard and went back to boxing," Cyborg wrote on X on Tuesday.
Cyborg said Shields has had only eight boxing fights since returning to the sport, the same number of boxing fights Cyborg has had while being MMA world champion. "She picks and chooses the easiest road possible," she added.
Cyborg also pointed to how long ago Shields started in MMA. "Claressa had her first MMA fight in 2021. She could be a solid purple or brown belt in BJJ by now," she wrote.
