President Donald Trump offers UFC CEO Dana White press secretary role
The UFC CEO has made no official announcement on whether he will accept, and it is unclear whether he would have to give up running the promotion to take the post.

President Donald Trump has publicly urged Dana White to become the next White House press secretary, announcing the offer in a Truth Social post on Saturday.
The move would take the UFC's chief executive into a political role he has said he never wanted. There has been no official announcement on whether White will accept, and it is unclear whether he would have to step down as UFC CEO to do so.
Trump wrote: “I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States.” The president also asked for White to bring a group of fighters with him as assistants, naming six, among them Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier and Amanda Nunes. He acknowledged that some of them were not from the United States.
He added: “We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!” Trump needs a new press secretary after several people, including Karoline Leavitt and Katie Zacharia, left the role over the past year. The offer comes as he examines several senior posts after a heavy election defeat for the Republican party, with the Democrats taking full control of both the House and the Senate from 1 January.
White appeared to hint at his answer on his Instagram story. He posted what Bloody Elbow said appears to be an AI-generated image of himself speaking at the White House, with the caption “On to the next chapter,” and shared a screenshot of Trump’s post. He has not confirmed that he will take the job.
