Deontay Wilder vs Jai Opetaia reportedly agreed for Fury vs Joshua card but not yet signed
Opetaia, the lineal cruiserweight champion, would move up in weight for the fight in Cardiff on 11 December. Wilder's side accepted the offer earlier this month.

A deal has been agreed for Deontay Wilder to fight Jai Opetaia on the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua card at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on 11 December, according to a source who spoke to boxing reporter Dan Rafael on Friday. Nothing has been signed yet.
Earlier this month Wilder's manager, Shelly Finkel, told Rafael that they had accepted an offer to face Opetaia as the co-feature to Fury vs Joshua and were awaiting word on whether it would go ahead. Finkel also said they had held talks about Wilder facing WBA champion Murat Gassiev.
Opetaia, the lineal cruiserweight champion, would move up in weight to face the former heavyweight world champion. Wilder, 40, beat Derek Chisora by split decision in April.
Talks for a Wilder fight with Oleksandr Usyk broke down. Opetaia has also agreed in the ring to face David Benavidez on Cinco de Mayo weekend 2027, and Benavidez has said that fight would be for the undisputed cruiserweight belts.
