Josh Hokit predicts 'three hits' against Ciryl Gane, the last one by the ambulance driver
Hokit also said he wants Alex Pereira rather than Tom Aspinall for his first defence, and responded to a video that appears to show him choking out a fan at a meet-and-greet.
Josh Hokit expects to knock out Ciryl Gane and send him to hospital when he challenges for the undisputed heavyweight title at UFC 334 on 14 November.
"If you're gonna ask me what's gonna happen November 14, there's gonna be three hits, gang. One hit to his face. Him hitting the canvas, and then the ambulance driver hitting 90 on the way to the hospital," Hokit said on The Ariel Helwani Show on Monday.
He said he would not make the mistakes Alex Pereira made against Gane: "Obviously, you can't... keep your head on the center line and just get f*cking jabbed and knocked out like Alex Pereira... I got better reactions. I got better eyes than Pereira." If he wins, he would like Pereira for his first defence rather than Tom Aspinall, saying: "I don't think Aspinall's coming back... I think he wants the box[ing]." Helwani said he thinks Aspinall will return.
Helwani also asked about a video that appears to show Hokit choking out a fan at a sponsor's meet-and-greet. "These fans might be lonely... maybe they don't got a dad... they just want to feel some pain, I guess... I was leg kicking people," Hokit said. "It doesn't make any sense getting choked out by another man for free... But if you ask me, you shall receive."
To those who say he has not earned the title shot, he said: "I can't make everybody happy... we're rewarded in this world by courage and not intelligence, and so I'm just getting rewarded by the courage."
The fight is at Madison Square Garden in New York, live on TNT Sports in the UK. In the same interview Hokit called Gane a coward and aimed a warning at Ilia Topuria: Hokit on Topuria and Gane. He also blamed Pereira's defeat by Gane on "the wrath of God": Hokit on Pereira.
