Canelo vs Mbilli still set for Riyadh on 31 October after Houthi attacks on Saudi airports
The undercard was announced on 8 October, the same day attacks on King Khalid International Airport killed three people, Saudi authorities said.

Canelo Alvarez's challenge for Christian Mbilli's WBC super-middleweight title remains scheduled for 31 October at The Venue in Riyadh, after Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian airports between 6 and 8 October.
Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority said three Saudi nationals were killed and several people were injured in two attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on 8 October. Earlier attacks on the same airport and on Abha International Airport, near the Yemen border, left three people dead and 36 wounded.
The US Mission in Saudi Arabia warned American citizens to exercise heightened vigilance, said the conflict "has the potential to escalate" and warned of possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruption.
No change of date or venue has been announced. On 8 October, Turki Alalshikh announced three title fights for the undercard: Jaime Munguia defends the WBA super-middleweight title against Nikita Zon, Rafael Espinoza defends the WBO featherweight title against Lorenzo Parra, and Lindolfo Delgado meets Arthur Biyarslanov for the vacant IBF light-welterweight title.
The event is part of Riyadh Season and will be shown on DAZN pay-per-view. It has already moved once: the fight was originally set for 12 September in Riyadh before it was pushed back to 31 October, with Alvarez citing a family matter that delayed the start of his training camp.
Alvarez has not fought since losing to Terence Crawford in September 2025. Mbilli was elevated to full champion when Crawford retired. Alvarez has been preparing at Oleksandr Usyk's gym in Spain with his trainer Eddy Reynoso.
