BKFC president David Feldman says talks to stage a show at Anfield are "absolutely very, very real" and that he thinks they will move forward next week. Nothing has been announced.

Feldman told Bloody Elbow that BKFC is "kind of like the stepchild of combat sports". "We have to do bigger things, and we are going to do something big. And yes, that's very, very serious," he said. "We've been in talks already about it, and I think that those talks are going to move forward next week."

"We have to go big or we got to go home because we have to prove ourselves to the rest of the combat sports world," he said. "We are MMA, you know, 20 years ago where everybody looked at it with a, you know, cross-eyed and they didn't like the way it looked."

BKFC staged a show at Fenway Park in August, and Fenway Sports Group owns both Fenway Park and Anfield. Earlier in the interview, without mentioning Anfield, Feldman said he thinks BKFC is "going to blow a lot of people's minds in the next 2 to 3 weeks with some of the announcements that we're going to make".

He named no opponent for a show at the stadium. Bloody Elbow names Tommy Fury as the most likely opponent for Darren Till's next fight, and Feldman said "we've definitely been talking to Team Fury a lot". That, he said, is "going to be hopefully part of some things that we talk about in the next couple of weeks".

Till said on The Ariel Helwani Show that he would not ring John Fury to apologise to make that fight. "I don't think Darren did us any good yesterday blasting John Fury and Tommy Fury on the podcast," Feldman said. He added that "sometimes you have to help put the fire out a little bit", but that Till is "starting a fire and a lot of guys don't".

Till said on the same show that the Anfield talks were "way more serious than I considered", and that Feldman is "really hell-bent" on the show. If he gets the fight there, he said: "I'll be a happy man. Probably be able to retire there and then because that's, you know, the dream's done then, innit?"

Till beat Yoel Romero at BKFC 94 on 26 September and has one fight left on his BKFC deal.
