Dana White's runner Sal Everett knocks out Ozzy Martin and earns a UFC contract
White told him "This could not happen to a better person" after the first-round knockout on the Contender Series, which also handed contracts to Mateus Soares, Roque Conceicao and Preston LaGrange.

Sal Everett, who works for the UFC as Dana White's runner, knocked out Ozzy Martin with punches in the first round on week 9 of season 10 of Dana White's Contender Series at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas and was given a UFC contract. The stoppage came at 1:57 and took Everett to 5-0.
Everett said in August that he "started with security" before becoming White's runner, a job he said he had been doing "for the past two and a half years". White said then: "He is a great kid, and everybody in this company loves him."
In the cage after the fight, White told him: "We've had title fights in here. I don't know if it's ever been as loud as it was tonight for your fight."
"Forget about the whole fighting contract. You are a great human being. This could not happen to a better person. You have worked your way from the bottom up," White said, before adding: "It's kind of weird, 'cause you're already at the UFC. But Sal, welcome to the UFC."
Three other fighters were given contracts on the night. Mateus Soares knocked out Ryuho Miyaguchi at 1:03 of the first round, Roque Conceicao submitted Alexander Chavez with a triangle choke, and Preston LaGrange, who took the fight on two weeks' notice, finished Nell Ariano in the first round. Alivia Bierley beat Summer Onley on a unanimous decision but was not offered a contract.
