England's George Staines earns UFC contract with a slam win on Dana White's Contender Series
The Paddy Pimblett teammate finished the main event in 61 seconds against an opponent who had won his last four fights by finish. He was one of four winners on the card to earn a UFC contract.
George Staines, a teammate of Paddy Pimblett, needed 61 seconds to finish the Dana White's Contender Series main event in Las Vegas on Tuesday night, stopping Loai Abushaar with a slam to stay unbeaten at 1:01 of the first round.
The win earned Staines a UFC contract. All four winners on the card were signed, the UFC announced after the show: Staines, Adama Diop, Ian Escuza and Aieza Bertolso.
