The WBO has officially ordered Shakur Stevenson to defend his WBO junior welterweight title against Raymond Muratalla next, The Ring reported on Tuesday. No date or venue has been named for the fight.
Stevenson, who is also The Ring champion, has been released from Zuffa Boxing and says he is now a free agent. He said he requested the release and is starting his own promotional company, adding that he wants "the biggest and best fights at 135 pounds or 140 pounds where I hold my title".
Dana White said he offered Stevenson's team the release, which they accepted, before Stevenson had fought once for the promotion.
