Paulie Malignaggi rips reported Dana White Netflix doc: 'best ... bulls*** artist one of all'

Paulie Malignaggi has torn into the reported Netflix documentary on Dana White on The Ariel Helwani Show, questioning whether a real tell-all about the UFC chief is even possible.

"Netflix put out some pretty good bulls*** artist documentaries out there, but this one might be the best ... bulls*** artist one of all," Malignaggi said. "Come on, bro. Is there anything, any such thing as a real tell-all about Dana White?"

Page Six reported on Tuesday that the documentary, directed by Gotham Chopra, will likely air on Netflix in the first quarter of 2027. It began as a project about Las Vegas before turning to White, and it was greenlit while Netflix was chasing the UFC's US rights, which went to Paramount in a seven-year, $7.7 billion deal. Chopra declined to comment, and neither Netflix nor White has announced the film.

Malignaggi said the label does not fit. "That's why we shouldn't call it a tell-all," he said, adding that a tell-all on White was "kind of an oxymoron".

The former boxer then turned to what he called White's "Tae Bo career" before the UFC. "Maybe he was on his way to becoming the next Billy Blanks, and the Fertittas, you know, ended up changing history by bringing him over to Vegas and, and then making him run the UFC," he said. Malignaggi said he wanted "more so like the truth than the bulls*** stuff" from the film.

Malignaggi held world titles at two weights and was stopped by British fighters Ricky Hatton, Amir Khan and Sam Eggington during his career. He now commentates for BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing and ProBox TV.

White is also at odds with a British promoter. Eddie Hearn wants a debate with him over his role in Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua, the Netflix bout at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on 11 December.
