Rafael Espinoza sings for Canelo Alvarez with a mariachi guitarist at the Riyadh weigh-in
The unbeaten WBO featherweight champion took the mic minutes after weighing in for his own title defence against Ricardo Blandon on the same card.

WBO featherweight champion Rafael Espinoza sang "El Rey" with a mariachi guitarist for Canelo Alvarez's entrance at the weigh-ins in Riyadh on Friday, minutes after he had weighed in for his own fight.
With a microphone in hand on the stage, Espinoza sang: "No tengo trono ni reina, ni nadie que me comprenda, pero sigo siendo el Rey." Alvarez did a double take, stood and watched, and applauded once Espinoza had finished.
Espinoza, 32 and unbeaten in 28 fights, defends his WBO title against Ricardo Blandon on the main card on Saturday. He is going for his fifth title defence.
Alvarez faces Christian Mbilli for the WBC super middleweight title in his first fight since he lost his undisputed title to Terence Crawford in September 2025. Both men made weight on Friday, Alvarez at 167.6lb and Mbilli at 167.8lb. The card is live on DAZN in the UK (start times and the full card).
