Tyson Fury targets 280lbs for Anthony Joshua fight in Cardiff
Fury's target would put him more than a stone above the 265lbs he weighed in July, and within a pound of the heaviest weight of his career.

Tyson Fury is aiming to weigh 280lbs when he finally meets Anthony Joshua in Cardiff in December, as the British heavyweights look to settle a rivalry that has lasted a decade.
That would make him more than a stone heavier than he was for his last outing, when he weighed 265lbs before stopping journeyman Mariusz Wach in an untelevised fight in Thailand in July.
The target would also leave Fury more than two stone above the 251lbs Joshua weighed for his own July warm-up, a win over Kristian Prenga. Joshua could yet come in heavier given the size of the man he is facing.
Fury's career-heaviest weight is 281lbs, set for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024.
Joshua's own heaviest is 255.4lbs, recorded for his fight with Jermaine Franklin in April 2023, his first bout after back-to-back defeats by Usyk.
